KABU&
What you get
Share vouchers based on what you pay for electricity, gas, mobile and more (used to apply for unlisted shares)
What is KABU&?
A service from Kabu & Peace Inc., whose president and CEO is Yusaku Maezawa. When you pay for KABU& electricity, gas, mobile, fibre internet, Wi-Fi, water, travel, telemedicine and other services, or spend with the KABU& Card, you receive “share vouchers” (kabu hikikaeken). For standard members the rate is 1% for electricity and gas, 5% for mobile, fibre, water and telemedicine, and 1 voucher per ¥200 on the card; paid Plus and Premium memberships raise the rates. During a set offering period you can apply to exchange vouchers for the company’s class shares (KABU& class shares); the 4th offering’s issue price is ¥8 a share (8 vouchers), and its application period is 6–26 Nov 2026. Vouchers can also be converted into ¥1 discount vouchers for KABU& bills. Under the referral program, both sides get vouchers depending on the service contracted; a referrer is rewarded for at most 20 people a month
How to start
Adults living in Japan (foreign nationals need a special permanent resident certificate or a residence card with no expiry date). Register as a KABU& member, then contract a service and pay for it. To exchange vouchers for shares you must apply during the offering period, pass ID-based eKYC (driving licence, My Number card, etc.) and open and link a Daiwa Connect Securities account (by 6 Dec 2026 for the 4th offering)
Note: The shares are unlisted: right now they cannot be sold or cashed, and their future value and liquidity are uncertain. The official site itself says a listing is not guaranteed, and the value may fall below the issue price. Vouchers basically come only from paying for services, so switching only makes sense if the price and terms of the service itself suit you. Vouchers can be exchanged for shares only during set offering periods, and they expire one year after the end of the month of your latest grant. Check the terms, the prospectus and when vouchers turn into shares before applying. The official referral notes say rewards may be voided if referral codes are spread on social media. KABU& also warns that offers to sell you its shares by phone, social media or email are very likely investment fraud: the shares can only be obtained with vouchers
Want a referral code? DM @FreeLunchLab on X (the referrer, this site’s operator, also receives share vouchers).
